Odeon Cinemas: High Street Kensington.

This from Steve Copper: 'My mother worked at the Odeon as a cashier in the early 1950's. I frequently saw films here - 'Oklahoma' around 1956. The manager at the time (I don't remember his name) had an unusual birthday - 29th February. There used to be an Italian style coffee bar a door or two away. The Saturday morning kids matinee started with  a tug-of-war between two teams taken from the audience. Can you imagine that?! I guess kids really were kids in those days.'
